Alison Wallis
Alison Wallis holds a law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. She was a prosecutor for 15 years and later worked for the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. She now handles post-conviction matters for the judges of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
Alison is active in parliamentary organizations, including the National Association of Parliamentarians, currently serving as President. In addition, Alison is a Certified Parliamentarian-Teacher and served three terms as President of the American Institute of Parliamentarians. She is a past president of the American College of Parliamentary Lawyers. She became a Professional Registered Parliamentarian in 2005 and since that time has worked for a wide variety of clients.
Alison places an emphasis on education and has taught parliamentary procedure to many groups.
Alison loves to promote the use parliamentary procedure to individuals and many types of boards, governmental bodies, and organizations, to show how fair and democratic decisions may be made in an efficient, participatory manner.
